Traeonna A. R. Wagener

About Traeonna

A friend of mine once described me as being a "half Eeyore-sock wearing snow-angel maker and half earth-embracing reality shifting mad thing."

I love the fiberarts and needlearts (e.g. sewing, crochet, embroidery, etc.), which explains my current interest in costuming/cosplay and Lolita fashion. I own Strawberry Darling LLC, an American Lolita-inspired alternative clothing and pattern company. I regularly present a panel called Lolita Fashion and Lifestyle at anime conventions.

I've been a cosplay judge (Ohayocon 6 Head Craftsmanship Judge, Wizzywig Cosplay Day III and IV Judge, Glass City Con 2010-2011 Craftsmanship Judge) and a cosplay department head/coordinator (Ohayocon 7-9 Cosplay Department Head/Coordinator, Animarathon IV Cosplay Coordinator). I was the J-Fashion Show coordinator for Anime World Chicago 2011.

I was the administrator of Midwest Meets Far East (A Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan community devoted to the recognition, appreciation, and enjoyment of East Asian pop culture including, but not limited to, anime, manga, games, film, music, fashion, cosplay, and toys.). I like the aestetics of Japanese and Japanese-influenced rope bondage. I am currently the facilitator for Knotty Knowledge, a rope bondage peer study group that meets monthly in the Toledo, OH area to learn and practice rope bondage together.I regularly present a Japanese culture-related bondage panel and workshop called All Tied Up at anime conventions.

I skate as Traeonna #7 for Glass City Rollers; Toledo's Official Flat Track Roller Derby Team. I was Fresh Meat for Spring 2011 and have been a part of the stats team since September 2010.

I co-authored the book Creating Magickal Entities: A Complete Guide to Entity Creation.

I love K-horror, J-horror, J-drama, K-drama, and HK action cinema.

I enjoy electronic, metal, visual kei, and Middle Eastern music among others. Current favourite bands include D'espairsRay, girugämesh, the GazettE, Dir en grey, lynch, and Apocalyptica. My favourite composers are Mozart and Kajiura Yuki. I love bowed string instruments, especially violin and cello. I also have a soft spot for electric bass and guitar.

Oh, and I love baking...especially cookies.

I live with my husband and son in Northwest Ohio.
